ZOOMTECH®Technology

How it works.

ZOOMTECH® compensates winding-tube deflection at its source. A stiffener tube with precision bearings, calculated for each configuration, keeps the tube straight and the fabric perfectly flat — up to 10 metres wide.

From the architectural problem
to measurable proof.

01

Problem

Every manufacturer of interior and exterior shading faces the same physics: as a winding tube gets wider, it deflects under the weight of the fabric and hardware it carries — and the fabric deforms with it.

02

Principle

ZOOMTECH® compensates that deflection at its source. A stiffener tube fitted with precision bearings is inserted into the winding tube — calculated and manufactured for each individual configuration.

03

Result

The winding tube stays straight under load, the fabric stays perfectly flat, and the V-effect disappears — while the visible hardware remains compact.

Proof

Technical principle02

The principle behind ZOOMTECH®.

ZOOMTECH® was developed to solve the common limitations of large-format roller blinds through an internal gravitational compensation system designed to stabilize tube behavior. The result is cleaner fabric geometry, slimmer constructions and wider single-blind solutions with minimal visual impact.

Inside the winding tube, a prestressed metal reinforcement works together with a specially developed compensation mechanism that helps control tube deflection. By combining principles of statics, dynamics and building physics, ZOOMTECH® improves system stability and helps minimize the visible V-effect even at extreme widths.

This allows architects and manufacturers to maintain the original minimalist essence of roller blinds even on expansive glass façades.

System anatomy03

One tube. Four components.

  • Winding tube — carries the fabric, slim at every width
  • Stiffener tube — dimensioned by structural calculation for each configuration
  • Precision bearings — fitted to the stiffener tube
  • Adapters and brackets — fit existing systems; free hanging, no floor or wall fixation

Configurations04

Typical ZOOMTECH® configurations.

Each configuration is calculated individually. Across the range, the winding tube stays under one centimetre of diameter per metre of blind width.

Key effects05

What the technology changes.

One of the original advantages of roller blinds has always been their ability to integrate discreetly into architecture. ZOOMTECH® preserves this minimalist principle even in large-format applications.

Key effects

  • Zero tube deflection
  • Improved fabric stability
  • Cleaner architectural detail
  • Slimmer system dimensions
  • Wider single-blind solutions
Not only for extreme widths06

Visible improvement
even at medium
dimensions.

Tube bending does not start only at 10 metres. Even blinds around 2.5–3 metres wide can show subtle fabric distortion.

ZOOMTECH® improves visual quality not only in extreme applications, but also in premium residential and commercial projects where clean alignment and flat fabric matter.

Fabric collections07

Maximum freedom of fabric selection.

ZOOMTECH® removes traditional constraints on fabric choice. The stiffener tube handles the structural load, freeing you to specify the fabric based on aesthetics and function — not on what the tube can support.

Fabric compatibility

  • Suitable for lightweight and decorative fabrics
  • Compatible with standard and premium fabric collections
  • Solar, screen and blackout collections
  • Fire-retardant and certified sustainable fabrics

System freedom

  • Free hanging system — no floor or wall attachment required
  • No mandatory cassette housing
  • No oversized box or cassette required
  • Flat fabric appearance even at extreme widths

Integration & production08

Easy integration into existing systems.

The stiffener tube is fitted into existing winding tubes with dedicated adapters, so manufacturers keep their own profiles, drives and brackets.

The ZOOMTECH® configurator defines the stiffener geometry automatically from the blind's width, drop and fabric weight. With the configurator and the ZOOMBOX tool, configuration and production take minutes — enabling just-in-time manufacturing worldwide.

For special applications or smaller batches, pre-configured component sets can be delivered within days. New tube geometries require adapter development, handled by BEMATECH during onboarding.

Architectural approach09

Designed for contemporary architecture.

ZOOMTECH® was created for projects where light, proportion and detail matter as much as technical performance.

The technology allows architects to preserve the minimalist essence of roller blinds even in large-format applications — with cleaner lines, reduced visible hardware and more natural integration into the architecture.

This creates a lighter visual impression and helps maintain uninterrupted views, spatial purity and the original architectural intent.
